Last summer, I had an amazing visit to Moscow. It was my first time in Russia, and I was so excited! I went with my family, and we stayed for a week. Our trip started with a visit to the Red Square. It was impressive! The colorful domes of Saint Basil's Cathedral were like something out of a fairy tale. We took so many pictures there. Next, we visited the Kremlin. It's a big, old fortress with beautiful buildings and museums inside. I learned a lot about Russian history there. One day, we went to see the famous Moscow Metro stations. They are not like ordinary subway stations. They look like underground palaces with beautiful decorations and lights. My favorite station was Komsomolskaya; it had golden mosaics and chandeliers. We also spent time exploring the shops on Arbat Street. There were many street performers and artists. I bought some souvenirs, like a matryoshka doll, for my friends back home. In the evenings, we enjoyed some nice restaurants. Russian food has many new tastes for me, but I liked it. I tried borsch, a beet soup, blini and pelmeni, which are like dumplings. By the end of our visit, I felt like I had learned a lot about Moscow and Russian culture. It was a wonderful experience, and I can’t wait to visit again someday! |
