Языковые особенности песен на английском

Если вы любите слушать музыку, используйте свое увлечение для изучения английского языка. Это поддержит интерес к занятиям, особенно, если вы чувствуете напряжение или усталость. Хорошая песня не только поможет расслабиться, но и усвоить материал лучше и запомнить больше. Хотя существует и такое мнение, что слушать песни – не самый лучший способ выучить язык, так как в них часто встречается сленг, нарушение грамматических правил и даже ненормативная лексика. Доля правды в этом есть. Но это совсем не значит, что авторы песенных текстов не знают своего языка. Скорее всего это желание приблизить слова песни к разговорной речи, где, конечно же, встречаются и неправильные обороты, и необычный порядок слов, и сокращения, и грамматические ошибки, т.е. то, что совершенно недопустимо в официальной письменной, да и в грамотной устной речи тоже. Считается, что "неправильный язык" более характерен для разговорного американского английского и особенно часто встречается в афро-американских диалектах. Многие люди не любят рэп именно из-за грубого неправильного языка.
Но все же хороших, правильных с точки зрения языка песен, гораздо больше. Просто, если вы занимаетесь самостоятельно и сами выбираете материал, нужно знать, какие отклонения от норм могут встретиться. Рассмотрим некоторые из них.

1. Разговорные сокращения

Это короткие формы обычных слов, которые проявляются в речи, если говорить быстро. Например, "gonna" является короткой формой от "going to". Если быстро сказать "going to", не проговаривая каждое слово, то и получится что-то вроде "gonna". Сравните:

Вот примеры некоторых самых распространенных сокращений:

• ain't = am not/are not/is not I ain't sure. You ain't my boss.
  ain't = has not/have not I ain't done it. She ain't finished yet.

Обратите внимание: в приведенных сокращениях в отличие от "правильных" часто отсутствует апостроф (').

2. Пропуск окончаний в словах

Последние звуки в некоторых словах как-бы проглатываются, что также характерно для небрежной разговорной речи. На письме вместо пропущенных букв ставится апостроф (').
wit’–with
talkin’–talking
singin’–singing

3. Нарушение грамматических норм ("плохая грамматика")

1) двойное отрицание (часто используется для усиления)
"I can't get no sleep". "Got nothing to hide no more".

 2) двойное указание на грамматическое время  
"I didn't knew" вместо "didn't know"

 3) пропуск личных местоимений в начале предложений

 4) употребление местоимении в неправильной форме
"between you and I" (вместо "me"). "If you have any questions see Mr Jones or myself (вместо "me"). "There is something for we (вместо "us") Americans to do."

5) усиление степеней сравнения прилагательных с помощью дополнительных неправильных форм.
I’m restless can’t you see I try my bestest ( "best" уже и так является превосходной степенью от "good", а к нему добавлен еще и суффикс –"est")
The most loneliest day of my life ("most" добавляется только к многосложным прилагательным)
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side ( по правилу "much greener").

6) неправильные глагольные  формы в условных предложениях
"If I would have ( вместо "had") known you were coming I would have baked a cake."
"If I was a boy" (вместо "If I were")

7) употребление лишних слов, например, предлогов, там где они обычно не ставятся.
"I didn't know it was that long of a walk."

8) нарушение согласования подлежащего и сказуемого
"What we need are ( вместо "is") more pots and pans. “She’s got a ticket to ride and she don’t (вместо doesn't") care.

Список "плохого языка"можно продолжить, но не будем зацикливаться на ошибках. Их и в русском разговорном языке хватает. Некоторую трудность для понимания песен представляют также идиомы, сленг, инверсия, хотя это уже относится не только к песенному жанру.

Если вы только начинаете изучение английского языка, используйте песни, которые специально подбираются для этих целей. Их в интернете немало. И лучше, если к ним уже есть готовые упражнения. Такую подборку вы видите и  на нашем сайте.

Грамматические пояснения
В английском языке в Present Continuous после while часто опускается подлежащее, если оно такое же, как в главном предложении. Также опускается вспомогательный глагол to be. While (I am) running I think of us.
Future Simple в песне выражает обещания, например: You'll stay in my heart.
