 a German philosopher, generallyregarded as one of history's mostinfluential thinkers. Kant spentmost of his life in Königsberg.

For 15 years he taught at theuniversity, lecturing first onscience and mathematics, butgradually enlarging his field ofconcentration to cover almost

all branches of philosophy. Hisfamous works were written verylate in his life after a long periodof silence. Kant’s tomb is locatedin Kaliningrad, at the northwestcorner of the Cathedral.
