Last Monday was an unusually difficult day for Emma. She woke up late because her alarm clock was (reliable) and did not ring. She quickly got dressed, but when she looked outside, the weather was (pleasant) and rainy.
On her way to work, Emma realised that she had left an important document at home. Going back was (possible) because she was already late. When she finally arrived at the office, her manager was clearly (patient).
Later, Emma tried to open a computer file, but the password she had written down was (correct). She asked a colleague for help, but he was rather (helpful) and told her to solve the problem herself.
At lunchtime, Emma noticed another problem: someone had taken her sandwich from the office fridge. She thought this was very (honest).
By the end of the day, Emma was tired and unhappy, but she decided not to complain. “Tomorrow,” she thought, “things will be less (predictable).”
